Who we are: Our Crew was officially organized and chartered through Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (High Point,NC) in March 2011 by our Crew Adviser (Mr. Geno)

We are a diverse Crew of male and female teens - 
Some of the Crew are Eagle Scouts (or former) boy scouts and girl scouts. Some have never been involved in scouting.
A few of the Crew had never camped (without their parents) before they joined us. Some are experienced wilderness campers, some, not so much.
We come from home-school, public schools (SW Middle, SW HS, , Western HS, Ragsdale HS, Guilford Early Collegc..) and private schools (Bishop McGuiness) to name a few.
Our oldest Crew members (in college) are 19 years old., Our youngest is 14 ( 9th grader).

Our leaders also come from many walks of life
Our Crew Adviser (Mr. Geno - although we call him "Papa Smurf") is a business consultant and has been involved with youth for over a dozen years ( from Founding Cubmaster of Pack 16, a Scout-leader with Boy scout Troop 26, Akela District Program Committee Chair,youth ministry catechist at IHM church., JMS wrestling coach, etc...
Our Asst. Crew Advisor is Ms .Debbie Prsley, -  We are also always looking for more adults.

What we do: As a Venturing Crew, we will rarely do the same outing twice,{with the exception of our annual Davy Jones Rendezvous and annual Ski trip} we always try to have new adVentures. Our current annual Crew specialty is Watercraft

Currently specializes in Watercraft – specifically sailing.   Our Crew owns a West-Wight cabin cruiser and 2 canoes. With access to more sail boats, canoes and kayaks.

· Horseback Riding (in planning for 2016)
· College Visits (in planning for 2016)

We are not always so active…

We have also spent weekends-

· Hammock camping at the lake
· Weekend Playing, card games with only 4 hours sleep, etc...


 
Why: Our Crew mission Statement is:

 "We the Venturians of Crew 7016 will go forth and mature into young adults - while having fun and high adventure"

We have fun, and oh yeah we also learn about life. leadership, decision-making, faith, ethical challenges and the world around us.
